Application Procedures

- Undergraduate program

 International students who wish to study on the Japanese-taught courses must sit the general Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU), conducted by the Association of International Education in Japan (AIEJ).

 

Applied Marine Biology (AMB) Course

 International students who wish to enroll on the English-taught AMB Course have two options to apply, based upon documentation submitted after sitting the following examinations:-
(1) EJU (English version) and TOEFL (or accepted equivalent)
or (2) home-country standardized national examinations and TOEFL (or accepted equivalent).

- Graduate programs

 The entrance examination for admission in Japanese language is carried out twice in August and January, and usually the deadlines for them are set in the mid-July and the mid-December, respectively.
 International students are able to take the Special Entrance Examination for Foreign Students. Usually, the examination is held in January, and its application-deadline is set in the early-December. The application for the examination is required to be submitted through individual laboratories. For details, contact with laboratories in which you are interested.
