2012/12/27 Dr. Akira Endo, specially-appointed professor (Graduate School of Agricultural Science), was elected as the National Academy of Inventors 2012 Charter Fellow
The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) announced 2012 NAI Charter Fellows on December 18, 2012; Dr. Akira Endo, specially appointed professor (Graduate School of Agricultural Science), was among the inductees. The NAI was established in 2012 to honor academic invention, recognize and encourage inventors to benefit society. Prof. Endo, who was previously inducted to the National Inventors Hall of Fame, was among the 98 Fellows including eight Nobel Prize laureates. The NAI Charter Fellows will be inducted as Fellows by the U.S. Commissioner for Patents, Margaret A. Focarino, on Feb. 22, 2013, in Tampa, Fla.
