Notification of Residence Card Renewal for 77 Bank Account Holders

Starting February 16, 2026, foreign customers will be unable to withdraw money from their ordinary savings account if the period of stay registered with the 77 bank has expired or remains unconfirmed, in accordance with deposit regulations.
(*Please note that salary deposits and utility bill automatic deductions will still be available.)
 
1. Where to complete the procedure:
・At the counter of any 77 Bank branch.
・At Seven Bank ATMs nationwide (starting February 16, 2026).

2. What to bring to the bank counter:
・Passbook or cash card.
・Updated Residence Card.

3. Important Notes:
・Even permanent residents or special permanent residents may face account restrictions if they have not notified the bank of their status.
・Please beware of phishing scams. The bank will never ask for personal information, PINs, or passwords via URLs in SMS messages.
・If you no longer need your account due to returning to your home country, please ensure you complete the account closure procedure. Selling or transferring bank accounts is prohibited by Japanese law.
