Regarding the September 2022 degree confirming ceremony (commencement) for Tohoku University Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Faculty of Agriculture

 

We are pleased to inform you that ceremony will be carried out as follows. Please note that there is possibility that the ceremony will be cancelled or the contents will be changed due to Coronavirus situation. In the event of any changes, you will be notified at that time. Thank you for your understanding.

 

  1. Commencement for Tohoku University Graduate School of Agricultural Science, Faculty of Agriculture

Time: September 26, 2022 (Monday) 3:00PM

Venue: Large Conference Room (E101), 1st floor, Agricultural Research and Administration Facility Building

Attending Students: September 2022 Degree Awardees

（Undergraduates and Graduates completing degree requirements for April to September 2022）

※The ceremony will be held in English.

※Regarding (2) of the Proceedings, all degrees will be conferred by the Dean.

※Students in attendance must be dressed appropriately for the degree awarding ceremony (formal wear). Student ID card (excluding students continuing in university in Japan) will be collected at the time of reception, so please be sure to bring it with you.

※Students except September 2022 Degree Awardees and the guardians are not allowed to participate in the ceremony.

※September 2022 Degree Awardee’s supervisors are allowed to participate in the ceremony. (They will be asked to leave their names at the entrance.)

※Any awardee who wishes to be absent (or is unable to attend) will still be awarded the degree. Please note, however, that in the event of absence, the degree must be received by a member of the awardee’s lab. As the commencement date is September 26, the degree can’t be distributed in advance of the ceremony.

※On the date of the ceremony, all potential attendees must monitor their physical health.

※Before entering the lecture hall for the commencement ceremony, all attendees will have their temperature taken and must sanitize their hands with disinfectant provided, and everyone in attendance must wear a mask.

 

  1. Following the ceremony, photographs will be taken in front of the sign and flowers adorning the entrance hall.
