①International students enrolled at Tohoku University as of April 2022 are eligible (undergraduate students, graduate students, research students, non-degree students, special auditing students, special research students).
②Students entering Japan from abroad can move into their dormitories after a 14-day quarantine, counting from the day after your arrival in Japan and confirmation that they are in good health. (They need to arrange accommodation for 15 nights/ 16 days.)
③If your residence period will expire on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, you can apply for other dormitories, but please be aware that newcomers will be given priority for selection.
A lot of dorm rooms look empty now, but most of the rooms are already assigned to students who enrolled in Tohoku University in April or October 2021 and are waiting to enter Japan.
Since there is less vacancy than usual, please consider moving to an apartment as your first choice.
④Students currently living in an apartment who once lived in a university dorm can apply for dormitory rooms. However, if they violated the dorm rules or disturbed other residents during their previous residence, they will not be permitted to live in a dorm again.
