The Department of Animal Science is consisted of nine laboratories, which are Animal Reproduction and Development, Animal Nutrition, Animal Breeding and Genetics, Animal Physiology, Animal Functional Morphology, Animal Microbiology, Animal Food Function, Land Ecology and Sustainable Animal Environment.

We conduct a wide range of education and research aimed at the efficient production and advanced utilization of higher quality products such as milk, meat, clothing, and medicines from animals, which are mainly livestock and poultry. For that purpose, we have studied a wide range of academic fields from microorganisms to animal behavior, as well as elucidated the physiological, ecological and immunological functions of animals, In addition, we are developing new animal resources and continuing research to make human life sustainable and richer.
